Scratch Starter Projects

Getting Started - Due Fri, Aug 30 (10 points)
1) Change name of project to "Getting Started"
2) Add at least one additional sprite
3) Include a backdrop
4) All sprites must move
 
Dance Party - Due Tues, Sept 3 (10 points)
1) Remix the project and change name to "Dance Party"
2) Add at least two additional sprites to the dance party
3) All sprites must be dancing
 
Animate the Crab - Due Wed, Sept 4 (10 points)
1) Remix the project and change name to "Animate the Crab"
2) Add facial expressions for crab costumes 1-2
3) Add at least two additional costumes to crab sprite and include new facial expressions
4) Edit size of additional costumes to be same as other costumes
5) Change names of costumes to reflect new facial expressions
 
The Pico Show Intro - Due Fri, Sept 6 (20 points)
1) Remix the project and change the name to "The Pico Show Intro"
2) Add one new sprite to be interviewed by Pico
3) Change background to something appropriate for the interview
4) Using "broadcast" and "wait" blocks, create a 15-20 second dialogue between Pico and your new sprite.  This must take place AFTER the "intro" and "dance party" blocks are finished.
 
Greeting Card - Due Mon, Sept 9 (10 points)
1) Remix the project and change the name to "Greeting Card"
2) Edit the card for a different occasion ... get creative!
3) Change all pictures to match your theme
4) Create and play animation (something that moves) inside your card
5) Change the music being played inside the card
 
Pong Starter - Due Thurs, Sept 12 (20 points)
1) Remix the project and change the name to "Pong Starter"
2) Change what the ball looks like
3) Add music that plays throughout the game
4) Add a variable "score" and "speed" to the game
5) Change the score each time the ball touches or misses the paddle
6) Change the speed of the ball each time it hits or misses the paddle
7) Create a different way for the game to end
 
Hide and Seek - Due Tues, Sept 17 (20 points)
1) Remix the project and change the name to "Hide and Seek"
2) Change what happens when you catch Gobo
3) Add music that plays throughout the game
4) Create more sprites to catch
5) Add a variable "timer" and use it in your programming
6) Add a way to end the game
