Welcome to my website! I'm looking forward to an exciting and successful year teaching 8th grade Resource (RSP) Study Skills and 7th grade Basic Math.
This year begins my 19th year as a teacher, but my first year at Sierra Vista Junior High. I grew up in Illinois and relocated to California with my husband almost 19 years ago. I graduated from Western Illinois University.

Preparing for Distance Learning:

Dear Students and Parents,

I hope you and your families are well and are continuing to take care of yourselves.

Due to school closure for the coming three weeks beginning Wednesday, March 19, 2020 to Friday, April 3, 2020, instruction will be delivered online. Students will be expected to complete assignments on Google Classroom. Per district guidelines, I will be available to communicate with students for Math 7 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays and for Study Skills from 1:00 PM -2:30 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays. I will be available for all classes from 9 AM -12 Noon on Fridays. However, please feel free to email me at any time. I will respond to your emails as soon as possible.

To keep yourself updated regarding new assignments, please check your school email, Infinite Campus, and Google Classroom daily.
