Healthy Choices, Relationships and Lifestyles

Required instruction of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Comprehensive Sexual Education will soon take place in 7th grade PE and Science classes. The instruction will occur in two classes of PE, four classes of science and will take place between March 7th and March 24th (specific dates for specific classes are on the website calendar). Parents are welcome, and encouraged, to preview the curriculum in advance by contacting the administration in the Front Office. The instruction includes several short videos which you are welcome to watch. The video clips, along with Information and forms for opting students out of the instruction are available by clicking the title of this article.

Many Families – One Community Family Resource Fair

Saturday, February 25th at Golden Valley High School, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm
This important event, held in partnership with the Sulphur Springs Union School District, will give your family information on such topics as:
Cyber Bullying
Your Child’s Behavior and What It Tells You
Recognizing Eating Disorders
Homework Help
Special Needs and Safety
Making Meals Matter
Healthy Relationships
And Much More
In addition there will be information booths from various agencies providing free information on services they provide for families and individuals.

Sweat Tops and Sweat Bottoms for Sale!!

With the weather beginning to change, we want our students to be warm out in PE. Students are able to purchase the PE Sweat Tops and Sweat Bottoms at the ASB office. Cost of the Sweat Tops are $15 and Sweat Bottoms are $15 each.
