Book Collections Starting Soon

All school library books are due Friday, May 20th, which is also the last open day for full library services. Starting the week of May 23rd, all textbooks will be collected. Students will return their books during their history class. Students should check with their history teacher to learn their turn-in day. They will then bring their textbooks in a bag with their name on it to the history classroom before school starts on their turn-in day. Please do NOT bring consumable workbooks that you write in, for either math or English. Only return your hardcover textbooks and class novels.

Students who do not return borrowed school materials or pay lost and damaged book fines on time will not be able to participate in end of the year 7th Grade Team activities, Yearbook distribution, or the 8th Grade Barbecue. Any indebtedness also carries over to the next school year, and students on the LOP list (Loss Of Privileges) will be delayed at Summer Check-in this August.

Also, students need to write down all of their computer passwords for logging into Google and the school’s desktop computers. Passwords are NOT reset over the summer and will carry-over into next year.

Safety Message 5/25/2022

Dear Hart District families:

We are aware of the shooting that took place yesterday, May 24th, at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. We are saddened by this horrific event and continue to keep the victims, their families, and all school staff in our thoughts and hearts. In lieu of this incident, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station is working hand in hand with all Santa Clarita Valley school districts to ensure added safety throughout the remainder of the school year. SCV deputies will conduct additional patrol checks and maintain an added law enforcement presence for both public and private schools within the Santa Clarita Valley. We also encourage our community to report any suspicious activity to the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station at 661-260-4000 and to school administrators. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by visiting www.LACrimeStoppers.org.

You can also access the Hart District Student Care Line for your school. We suggest having this line on your phone as well as your student's phone for easy access. Click READ FULL STORY to go to the Hart District webpage that has all of our schools’ Student Care Lines.
