Math Placement Testing for Out of District Students

If your 6th or 8th grade student plans to attend a William S. Hart School District school in the Fall of 2018, they will need to take a math placement test. Expect your student to be in the testing room for 1 hour. This will include signing on, taking the test, having it graded, and receiving the placement letter. Youth Empowerment Crew

This summer the Domestic Violence Program of the Child and Family Center will be hosting a Youth Empowerment Crew at our Savia location. This is a 2-day event during July that is focused on empowering students in middle and high school to be the best version of themselves while pursuing their passions. Our Youth Summer Crew is FREE to the community and will be held on July 11 & 18. Guest Author, Mr. Obert Skye, to visit Sierra Vista's Library

All students are invited to meet Mr. Obert Skye, author of many books and series, including "The Creature in my Closet" and the brand new "Wizard for Hire." This will be at lunch in our library on Thursday, May 10th. Later that evening, families are invited to see Mr. Skye at Barnes & Noble, Valencia for a book signing starting at 6:00 p.m. The SV Library will receive a portion of the sales of any items all day on May 10th, including the cafe goodies such as a cheesecake for Mother's day! You may show this flyer for us to receive credit, or just mention Sierra Vista Library at the cash register. Thank you for your support!

Staff Appreciate week is almost here and we need your help!

Let's show our teachers and staff just how much they are appreciated! With your help Sierra Vista ASB and parent volunteers will be providing breakfast on Wednesday morning (May 9th) and sponsoring a raffle at the luncheon on Tuesday, May 8th. Any items donated would be greatly appreciated! All nonperishable items may be turned into the school office on or before Friday, May 4th. We are also seeking donation of gift cards for a raffle during the luncheon.

City of Santa Clarita Walk and Bicycle Survey

On Wednesday, May 2, 2018 the City of Santa Clarita will have a table set up at lunch near the outdoor stage. They are surveying students and staff about their routes to and from school to gain feedback to put together a CITY wide recommendation plan for how to increase WALK and Bike Safety routes to and from school.
